flight was cancelled after we were at airport. Employees were rude and refused to provide a reason saying use app to find out. spent 12 hours at airport trying to find an alternative. NO reason, no excuse, just notification the airline was no longer flying to lanai. Terrible service or more accurate - no service, no explanation. Use another airline.
Was traveling from Honolulu to Lanai with my husband for a joint business/leisure trip and had secured our tickets 6+ weeks in advance. The flight time changed several times before we left, but not just a couple minutes here and there, 2+ hours either way. The day finally arrived for us to leave and we boarded the plane, only to find out our bags with all our photography gear wouldn't be loaded on our flight, but another flight in about 6 hours. When we asked why the lady screamed at us "Do you just want the plane to crash? Is that what you want? I will move you to that flight too!" It was honestly the most insane experience, when I really just wanted to verify my $10k worth of camera gear would be looked after properly. If you've ever been to the Mokulele terminal you understand what I mean. Our gear did finally show up. On the return flight, the original flight we booked was cancelled and we were put on a flight 3 hours earlier, which forced us to cancel one of the projects we had already booked, which was unfortunate. In any case, would not fly again. As far as the flight itself, it was fine. The planes are old caravans that are a little rickety, but the pilots were very kind.
Cancelled flight for 6 passengers 2 days before and re-scheduled in 2 separate flights.
For the return flight, re-scheduled to a later time without sending us notifications.
The planes are great and are pretty much the only way to get to Molokai from Maui. My main complaint is that they keep changing the flight schedule the day before we travel. We like to go at around 7am and return around 3:30. But they change flight times and screw up our work plans. Once they changed our flight to arrive on Molokai at 11:30 and had us returning to Maui at 11:20. Unbelievable!!! This type of schedule changing happens every week! When calling the help line, the person answering tells me that the changes are made automatically by the computer and that she was a contractor, not an employee - so no skin in the game. I wish a more stable airline would move in.
