Hello and can't answer directly, but, I will say I have been down a couple of times, although not for a couple of years, and always found the beach & town to be nice and relaxed.

I would say it is just as safe as most places in KZN.

Here are a few tips from the South Coast tourism Sunny and Safe campaign -

At night avoid isolated places and at all times keep your mobile phone handy

should a situation arise.

In recreation areas keep within close contact with other users – this can negate

incidents in isolated spots.

Activate security technology when leaving the property you are staying in and

lock all possible entry/exit points.

Keep valuables and important items (e.g. passports) in secure places and do not

carry significant amounts of cash with you.

Enjoy your holiday
