Best off shore snorkeling at a Caribbean resort

Does anyone have any all inclusive resort suggestions for snorkeling from the beach in Caribbean?

Roatan doesn't have any "big" resorts like in other parts of the Caribbean. No need for all-inclusive. You will get bored eating at the same hotel. Find a breakfast package if you don't want to cook, and try the various restaurants in the area. All walkable within West Bay. (It's only 20 minutes from one side to the other and maybe 5-10 minutes inland.)

Grand Roatan and Infinity Bay are the closest to the best snorkeling reef.

If you are looking for proper AI with all the bells and whistles, Roatan is not a good choice. Al on Roatan is more meal plan and accommodation than entertainment and animation teams.

Having stayed at AI's in Cuba, the DR and Roatan( and a few other spots ) Roatans All inclusive options ARE indeed all inclusive. The difference being how many restos you have, how many pools, swim up bars, nightly shows, food choices, etc etc. The AI at Henry Morgan is every bit as much an "all inclusive" as one in the DR or Mexico, it just doesn't have as many options or all the bells and whistles. But, its still an all inclusive.

So an All Inclusive Resort suggestion for snorkeling from beach in the Caribbean( Roatan in this case ) is Henry Morgan & Mayan Princess. There are a couple of other all inclusive on the island, but not near the best off beach snorkeling. Note, I did not add Infinity Bay on list since I'm not certain its still AI.

If you are coming from Canada Transat and Sunwing deal with Roatan. Starting in Nov they will have both Mon and Thurs departures from YUL and YYZ. Also, do an air only / hotel / food budget / transfer price comparison to your AI prices. Its generally the same. ( price based on budget lodging ). So, just do the math, play around with the numbers. :)

For a 6 day vacation you will have to pay more for sure, and, it will not be non stop. ( like transat or sunwing )

Only you George would nitpick at such a trivial non thing. No surprise though...you've been at it since i joined here in 2010. Someone's always peeing in your cereal..wouldnt it be easier to be pleasant?

Holy Shnikies, Georgee....Just imagine the reaction if you'd told the actual facts about how close the reef is....in the forbidden zone!
