There is a good bit open already and noticeably gearing up for Easter which i appreciate is a few days after you are here. You will have plenty to go at.

Hi, we are arriving on Sunday 27th March, and are self catering. Does anyone know what will be open on the Sunday Evening, and also Easter Monday? We are staying at Peurto Marina, and need to buy some essentials such as milk, bread etc. Are the restaurants open on Easter Monday? Thanks

Easter Monday doesn't exist in Spain so you should find business as usual then. Over the four days from 24 - 27 March there is a fiesta English translation Berbers and Pirates (see DivineDave's posts in his recent thread "more dates for your diary" for the full programme). When you arrive the town will be extremely busy but it will return to normal levels the next day. Lo Sola petrol station incorporating a small mini market including bread, milk, wine & beer etc would be your best failsafe bet until midnight on a Sunday evening. No more than half a mile from Puerto Marina. As you get to the latter from the airport you will most likely be on a road passing Consum, Lidl or both on the right hand side. To get to Lo Sola once you are in Puerto Marina come back out on to that road and head right. Lo Sola approx a quarter of a mile along there on the left, yellow and blue signage. Avoid the temptation to go go in the first Chinese restaurant you will see on the right hand side just before you get to Lo Sola, there is a much better one a little further on on the same side.

thank you all for your help, we land at 19.15 so will miss lidl. We have now arranged for bread and butter, milk and water to be in the appartment just in case, but I think a walk to Lo Sola will be ideal to get some other bits. Thanks again

Many people do it and love it. The weather is considerably better than the UK on a relative basis. Perfect most days for the outdoor life although by no means shorts and T shirt and cold at night. There is enough open and a couple of interesting cities within easy reach by bus. Some cold nights in December/January do have a ghost town feel. Make sure you have adequate heating in your accommodation,
