English Cigarettes?

Just wondering if the supermarkets in Koutoufoulari sell the Blue SuperKings and whether they accept credit cards? Or where would be the best place to find them?

Thanks.x

Hi Sandy, I don't know about the local smaller stores/shops but you can get Superking Blue down the hill in the larger supermarkets in Hersonissos. ( I buy them for my Mother)

They are also available at the airport 'duty free' so on your return you can stock up airside.

They were 42 Euros for 200 last month.

The larger supermarkets shouldn't have a problem with credit cards.

Hope this helps :O) :O)

Didn't find anywhere in Koutouloufari that sold cigarettes in bulk, was told to go to Hersonissos. Prices are the same everywhere so no need to shop around.

Yes, tobacco & cigarette etc prices are fixed by the government. Due to the bank charges that businesses have to pay you'll probably find they'll charge for using any card. You could try the larger shops & see if they'll order in for you.

You'll be able to buy in the airport shop airside at the same price ( no "duty free" within EU) & these won't be included in your baggage weight so less chance of being nailed for "excess baggage"

EasMid......Quite right. :O)

I called it 'duty free' because that is what it advertises itself as being in the airport even though, as you say, it actually ISN'T within the EU. :O) :O)

Hi Creteaholic

Didn't mean to have a dig ;-)

I meant that they wouldn't be any cheaper in the airport shop than outside

Everybody still calls them duty free shops lol

No Problem EasMid :O)

I came back with my Ma's cigs in a large bag with DUTY FREE written all over it in HUGE black letters.

I couldn't have drawn more attention to it if I'd tried. LOL! :O) :O)
