Rize

Hi all

I’m planning to visit the Black Sea coast in late oct - early nov. I know the weather can be unpredictable during this time so I would like to know if it’s advisabe for me to visit trabzon Rize during this time and isit safe to drive alone?

And any other info that I should know abt this region? Been doing research abt this region but there’s not much in the internet.

Hope someone can help me out. Thanks!

One of the wettest periods of the year in that area. Unlikely to create safety problems.

Trabzon and & Rize are quite different places. Locals will be upset if you mix them up. :) Very very green part of Turkey, with Rize having greater rainfall than Singapore. Very popular with some visitors from nations with low rainfall.

Primarily an agricultural area; about half the world's hazelnut crop grown between Samsun and Trabzon; changing to tea and kiwi fruit as you head towards Rize.
