Muar Muzeum and other places of interest around Muar

Why dont the authorities look into establishing a Muar Muzuem ??for there are a lots of historical events and significances datas for the tourists and the public to know about Muar from the time that Parameswara of Majapahit landed just near the 1st Muar bridge in 1399 or 1400,to Marco Polo's up-river expedition(1430s),to the war between the Porturgese and the Malaccan Sultanate(1511-1520),to the British era(1750s-1940),Japanese(1945),Communist(1946- 1948) and modern Muar(1950-2010). According to Wikipedia,Muar was redeveloped by Datuk Salleh Perang in 1885 on the order of Sultan Sir Abu Bakar the Sultan of Johor then.

Muar's historical events can also be linked with the history of Malacca form 1400-1550s....because of Muar river, and the river still have its own significant as a historical and commercial link to Indonesia even till today.

Other Places of interest around Muar:

2)River Kesang -where Parameswara went for hunting and stumbled across an incident on a fight between his hunting dog an a mousedeer (Malay: Sang Kancil) and thus named his new kingdom; MELAKA (Malacca). The name Melaka came from the name of the tree where Parameswara rested while observing the "fighting incident"

Malacca was a thriving commercial port of its time, 1420s-1510

equivalent to Rotterdam or Singapore,now.

3)Bentayan Muar(now the taxi stand)-the site of a fierce battle fight between the Porturgese and the Malaccan soldiers.(1513/1515)
