Eating out and beaches

Hi, we are off to the Golden Star next sunday and just wanted to know any good places to eat. How far is the main strip from the Golden Star? And lastly, the beach that is in front of the Golden Star, whats the name of it and is it a private beach? Any help would be great, thank you.

The golden star has been refurbished, the beach it is on is called flamingo, turn left outside and the main strip is two minutes walk at the top of the road, there is also a brill restaurant called Astoria just up from you. When you reach the strip look right and you will see macdonalds go past it and the sphinx bar is good, turn right again and there is lots more bars and restaurants. turn left at the top of the road from your hotel and it is a good 15 minutes stroll to the end of the strip, with many good bars etc, fig tree bay is right at the bottom end if the strip, any more info just ask
