Do the exchange shops take the Bank of England plastic 10 pound notes.
The paper ones aren't legal tender in the UK anymore so you shouldn't have any and won't find them to take to Cyprus.
Why would an exchange house refuse to take legal tender ?
No need to be so rude
I wasn't aware that I was being rude, blunt maybe but not rude.
I was stating a fact - paper notes are not legal tender in the UK
asking a question in return - why would an exchange house refuse to take legal tender ?Edited: 04 July 2018, 04:49
No need to be so thick !
The new £10 notes will be excepted anywhere that excepts Stirling notes , I just checked and I have a few old paper £10 notes and now I'm stuck with them as I can't even take them to the bank to change .....oh well might be worth something in 100 years time .....lolol
You can post the paper £10 notes directly to the Bank of England. They will exchange them for plastic ones.
Gary I work in a bank and we exchange the old notes. I expect most banks do.
