Alternative hotel aside from Venetian

We plan to stay at the Venetian for one or two nights then transfer to another hotel... What can you suggest? We prefer three or four star hotel, clean, not too expensive and most important of all, accessible to public transportation and restaurants.

Since you will be in Venetian for 1-2 nights, should have cover Taipa/Cotai area. Try something in the city, for not too expensive, you can try Sintra or Emperor.

I would have thought the OP's criterion >>most important of all, accessible to public transportation and restaurants.<< would leave the Westin way out on a limb (not that I dislike the place at all, but it's about as far away from anywhere else in Macau as it is humanly possible to get).

My choices for the criteria given would be the Royal, Grand Emperor, or Sintra. Holiday Inn is usually a reliable chain, but the one in Macau gets very mixed reviews - you might want to consider it.
