Vanderbilt Beach Re-nourishment - Help with Feedback please

We are due to arrive from Europe on 6th November staying for 12 days. We have just learnt about the beach re-nourishment project. We have booked a condo close to the Ritz Carlton and within a stone's throw of the Vanderbilt Beach Entrance on Vanderbilt Beach Road.

We are now worried that the beach project will ruin our trip. We wanted to be able to walk onto the beach from our rental home etc, etc. In short, to have a peaceful holiday.

Does anyone have direct experience of the impact of this scheme which may start on 1st November? The property manager has advise we could cancel with a full refund.

Any good idea on how to find a last minute booking elsewhere without trawling VRBO etc for hours? We had thought we had found the perfect spot!

Any advice will be truly appreciated.

We managed to relocate our rental to downtown - good to avoid the trucks!
