Charleston Storm Damage

Hi, just a quick question.

My wife and I are planning a first time vacation trip to Charleston from Oct 12 to the 15th.

Is there any or much storm damage from the recent Hurricanes that we should be concerned about for hotels, downtown sites, etc.

Everything up and running or areas under repair ?

Appreciate the feedback.

Ed

You should have posted in the specific Charleston forum on TA but to answer your question very easily - NO DAMAGE. Yes there was some storm surge / tidal flooding downtown and the beaches have lost another 10 feet of sand dunes but everything is up, running and ready for more visitors. Enjoy your stay.

Nothing closed except some coastal state parks while they clean up sand and debris.

Hunting Island State Park doesn't expect to reopen until next year.
