Adare Manor or Ashford Castle in July?

I am trying to decide between a stay in Adare Manor or Ashford Castle for three nights in July. I have already booked an additional three nights at Dromoland Castle.

Depends on your interests but Adare and Dromoland are 1/2 hour away from each other so why move if you chose Adare.

As to Ashford, I would consider Ballinahinch as an alternative.

Ashford is a castle, Ballinahinch a smaller version. Adare is lovely, but a manor house (small castle) building. Still, I'd do Ashford and Adare if some kind person was paying

That's why I originally booked Ashford and Dromoland, since they aren't in the same area. I'm keeping the three nights in Dromoland. A friend who had stayed in all three said she didn't like Ashford and preferred Adare, which is why I am reconsidering. Is there much to do around Ashford? How does it compare to Adare Manor?

Dromoland is also a Manor House.

Very few Castle Hotels are actually castles. Ashford is also mainly a Manor House dating from the Guinness ownership in 1852 extending the French Manor House constructed a century earlier .

Ballinahinch was originally a Hunting and Fishing lodge and is above Roundstone about 10 miles east of

Ashford and Adare offer the same sorts of activities. Ashford is a castle, Adare a manor House (smaller castle-like building). The town of Adare IMHO offers just a bit more than Cong.
