to be fair, if you arent much into drinking than AI might be the wrong choice,
unless the kids always on at you for drinks/ice creams/snacks etc?
I think you are going to have to give some more preferences as you are giving an incredibly wide brief and therefore are unlikely to get useful answers. For example...
Shared or own pool
Resort centre or outskirts
Walkable or not to bars and restaurants
Walkable to beach
Quiet or busy
Live music nearby
Will you be hiring a car
Budget, mid range or top of rangeEdited: 07 August 2018, 13:42
I would also suggest you narrow down the choice of hotel and villa. My experience is that they offer significantly different holiday experiences around factors such as...
Meal times flexibility
The need to dash for sun beds
Proximity to other people
Types of food
Facilities to hand
Social interaction / meeting others
The amount of time spent shopping
Having had plenty of holidays doing both, my preference is now for villas based on meal flexibility and choice, own pool, no sun bed dash, space and privacy. I do sometimes miss immediate access to a bar but try to offset this by having villas within walking distance to them.
