a few years ago i had some friends staying there and i spent some time visiting them on the property

the place was clean and well kept at that time

they had 2 rooms on the upper level and we enjoyed sunsets on the balcony

the property is quite and private and a comfortable place to stay

it is approx a 20 to 30 min. walk to frenchmans beach and about the same to billy's bay

if beach is important to you then there are other places that provide similar vibe and much closer to the seaside

Hey Twisted! :) Twistedsista know the area better than I do but if I had a choice of where to stay close to the beach and still close to the restaurants...

I would stay Calabash House or Shatki Home. I have seen in both of these places and would stay at them in a heartbeat. Both are right on the beach. Calabash being my #1 pick if I am to return to TB.

Mar Blue is another wonderful place but more $$.

thanks jamaicajeannie

i have to second your choice in calabash house - i favour either one of the two cottages seaside,

the night jasmine blooms between the cottages and the air is so sweet in the evenings when they are in bloom

may those cottages be saved from sandy

may all in treasure beach keep safe and as dry as possible

shatki is nice as well but it is a higher budget

chef sarah may i suggest that you check www.treasurebeach.net for a wide choice of accommodations

budget wise i think you could enjoy fairhill villas - they gotta have a great view

shakespeare is also a good choice very popular guesthouse with great staff and a good vibe

i also love to stay at bebe's place in frenchman's, private and very clean

i love it that every cottage has a hammock

http://www.bebesplace.com/

ok is a bit more $$$ i am suggesting katamah

next reach i will make it a point to have andrew take me on a tour of the property

this is a great seaside location, has been recently renovated and has new management

the grounds are totally private, check it out for yourself.....http://katamah.com

it looks like it will be a really nice place, mmmm, love the cottage

in great bay, a bit more isolated, are a few more great budget choices

still walking distance to calabash bay and frenchmans or you can arrange a driver if you prefer to

ital rest

wild pine

rasta retreat

three great choices each with their own charm

all have access to a more private beach, and plenty nature

hope that helps you get started

if you have any questions you know where i am

ohliz

did you recognize the property, katamah?

it is all fenced in......

used to be where windsome had her place

coot's place

guess that answers the question of what was going on behind that fence in the springtime

I wondered. I liked Winsome's place...has she moved or just closed?

For whatever reason, I prefer the vibe on Calabash, Billy's, Great Bay to the one on Frenchmans...possibly because Frenchmans is the only one where I've been approached to buy anything in TB? Plus I think Golden Sands is a bit of an eyesore.

But I'd consider that spot it looks sweet.

windsome has not opened up in frenchmans to my knowledge

she may have a shop elsewhere, i never really thought to ask where she had gone to

she was a very nice lady, friendly and made great juice

i too have my more preferred beach spots in the area

i guess i would have to say that fort charles is my favorite beach in the area

i have been told that its a turtle nesting beach and we have seen evidence of that in past visits
