First time visit

Hi Guys, I'm travelling on Tuesday with my young family. Just starting to plan our days and most will be based around the beach and pool. Just wondering how far a walk is Amadores beach from Puerto Rico beach? Or how much in a taxi or bus? What time at night do the bus services end? And what time do buses run to other resorts like Maspolmas and Port Mogan. Would be nice to travel out and sample some evenings on other resorts. Thanks in advance for information.

The walk from puerto rico harbour which is just along side the beach is just over a kilometre. The walk round is along a coastal road and the kids will probably live looking out for all the lizards. No idea of cost of bus but taxi probably no more than 4 euro. Amadores beach is lovely and much nicer than puerto rico.

The walk from PR to Amadores is on a pedestrian only walkway at the base of the cliffs.

Bus is €1.40 (same fare anywhere).

Buses run up to midnight.

Taxis PR to PdM and vice versa roughly €15.

hi from puerto rico beach / port area it is a half hour walk on the coastal path too amadores beach but well worth it trust me , lovely beach lots of eatries / bars / shops / childrens park area and crazy golf , lively during day but at night goes quite, so you can walk there and taxi or bus back , but its a must too go to puerto de mogan on the boat from puerto rico harbour, the beach is manmade but very nice and safe theres plenty of restaurants and beach side bars, warning upto you if you go on market day its very busy and hectic, also while there i presume your stopping in puert rico at the bottom of the hill most people do , try going too the top to the europa centre its more family friendly at night than the commecial centre , google it el toro restaaraunt is our choice when there and mary d, for entertainment and the barbacoa god food /entertainment enjoy im going in sept with the kids and grankids steve

Puerto Rico to Amadores is about 4 euros each way by taxi. If you go to the bus station which is in the centre behind the Angry Birds Park prices and times of buses are given there in their bus stand for prices and a Global leaflet tells you times etc. The buses are good but not so good at the weekends.

For a family your better off getting a taxi to Amadores its cheaper, we normally walk there and grab a taxi back, just ask one of the restaurants to call a cab if theres none waiting behind the beach, another tip when planning a trip to Amadores is avoid the weekend as its packed, much more civil Mon-Fri.
