Thx for your reply

Someone mentioned it and I started reading about it on the net. It s mentioned everywhere but maybe it used to be like that in the past and not anymore??

I was in Brazil just now with my wife and 3 children aged 6, 4 and 2. We wanted to spend 5 days in Noronha2in Aug. Do you think it s ok with small children or is it going to be difficult? It does look beautiful.

Well, if you have a bountiful budget, it would be fine, but Fernando de Noronha is well known for being an expensive destination.

there are two special taxes you have to pay to visit FN...

one can be paid online (but not really feasible for non-Brazilian residents to do it) or at the airport when you land there.... it is about R$56 per person per day you stay there.

and since 2012 there is national park fee as well (R$178 for non-Brazilians, valid for 10 days)... since most of the island is a national park, i dont see the point of going there and trying to avoid this fee... you can pay it upon arrival in FN on certain locations (link in Portuguese):

I think children under 11 do not pay the park fee (but I am not sure if that applies to non-brazilians too)

Thk you all for your help/comments. Much appreciated!

Final question: regarding accomodation, which would be the top end hotels you recommend but with best access to the Beaches that are best suited for Children??
