We are planning to trip to Fernando de Noronha around birthday - end of April 2015 starting around 23rd.
I would like to know if it rains a lot during that time.
It's always difficult to predict from one year to another, but this link should give you some indication.
In terms of rainfall, April and May are the worst months of the year to go there.... This link provides monthly historical rainfall data for most beach destinations in Brazil. Of course, historical data only gives you some guidance, but they do discourage going to places where monthly average is above 200mm. Unfortunately, that is the case for Noronha in April.
It is an expensive destination for Brazilian standards and basically there is nothing to do there when it rains.... If possible, I would visit another time of the year.
