Aftermath of the floods

Hi all, just wondering if any of you have recently returned from Denarau since the floods a few weeks ago and how Fiji has recovered from it. I am a little concerned about travelling with my very young children and the possibility of disease and lack of fresh food/water etc.

Hi April, I have just come back from Denarau Radisson stay and Mana Island stay for 7 days. They have recovered almost completely from the floods, you wouldn't even notice unless our taxi driver hadn't pointed out where they are still rebuilding. The roads are a bit worse for wear but you'll only notice this on the drive from the airport. All the water has receded and at the resorts, I did not have any problems with food, water or facilities at all. Apparently the islands and Denarau weren't as badly affected as other areas I was told by the locals. Don't worry at all! Enjoy your stay!

Thanks heaps for the update and reassurance. Can't wait to head over there in under 2 weeks now.
