Easiest place to pick up a fishing rod - Costco, WalMart?

Just thinking about grabbing a couple of cheap fishing rods on the way to Vieques. Seems like I remember seeing a Costco in the area? Another suggestion of an easy place to stop quickly?

Another good option is West Marine in Fajardo also right on route 3 and there is an expert fishing person working there now Jose who used to run kayak fishing excursion company...http://www.boatingindustry.com/news/2014/02/18/west-marine-to-open-largest-store-in-puerto-rico/

When transporting, be careful to protect the rod tip, especially on cheap, one piece rods. The 2 piece are a little easier to carry without being crushed by luggage, doors or bumping. Any kind of tip cover helps. Sometimes I will crimp and tape a cardboard tube from a paper towel roll to the rod tip section.
