Places to pick up supplies for lunch

Hi All,

We're heading to Zion for a few days in late August. It'll be 5 of us, Mom, Dad, 19 y.o., 11 y.o and 7 y.o kids. I'd like to bring lunch into the park each day, and am wondering what the best options are. should we buy sandwiches in the morning in town? If so, where would you suggest?

If not, should we buy lunch making supplies? Again, where.

We'll be staying at the Desert Pearl Inn, and of course will have a car. since we're driving up from Vegas, One thought I had was to drop the family off at a hotel after arriving, and heading out to a local supermarket to pick up a cheap cooler and some provisions (maybe a case of water, lunch meats etc) for the days at Zion and also Grand Canyon (north rim...). looking forward to suggestions.

There is a market right next to the IMAX theater at the entrance to the park. You can take the free shuttle from Desert Pearl to the market and then enter the park and use the free Zion park shuttle from there.

Sol Foods market is the place Red is referring to.The market sells all the supplies you would need.Sol foods deli right next door in the same building, sells sandwiches made to order.

But if you want to buy a cooler and a bunch of stuff,I would stop in St George at a regular large grocery store or the super Wal Mart.Save you some money, and the selection is a little better.
