Comedy Clubs

Will be staying in Santa Fe for a week in late September with two other couples. Looking for things to do and was wondering if there are any comedy clubs .

No comedy clubs, sometimes there are special concerts and appearances at the Lensic Theater. Nightlife is minimal and only a few places for live music. Check this link for some ideas... www.sfreporter.com/santafe/places?type_id=3

-The Catamount Bar and Grill has moved from near the Plaza to the Railyard area and will reopen later this spring. They are one of the few sports bar type places, and also may have live music.

-El Paseo Bar and Grill has good food, a bar atmosphere at night and live music. http://www.elpaseobar.com/home.html

-Rize Nightclub (It has had many other names - Swig, Fusion and is the only real nightclub in Santa Fe)

-Cowgirl BBQ

Here's some lower key ideas:

You may enjoy the flamenco show and a fun dinner at El Farol on Canyon Road...very Santa Fe. http://www.elfarolsf.com/

Also at Hotel Santa Fe at their Amaya Restaurant, Ronald Roybal plays Indian Flute and Spanish Guitar, great musician. http://www.hotelsantafe.com/amaya-restaurant/

Piano Bar at Vanesse Restaurant kind of fun and some great food. http://www.vanessiesantafe.com/

Sorry. Santa Fe is actually not that funny. (?) Nor is it really a "nightlife" kinda town. It is like a small town with big town features (scenery, shopping, museums, culture tours, etc) and most people are exhausted at night. Maybe a trip to a hot tub, a drink (tequila) near the fire (kiva), some Spanish guitar music............

O, BTW, the Santa Fe "Playhouse" hidden downtown, on De Vargas (an old, small, funky local "theatre" - may be an exaggeration) sometimes has a show at night, which can be a comedy (or parody), can be fun, tho.

There is a performance venue in Eldorado, just outside Santa Fe called, The Performance Space

They have a lot of events that happen once a month. Concerts, local authors readings, Indie film screening, art lectures, comedy night, art openings, etc. This is one of those off the beaten path places that will surprise you.

Second Saturday of every month, The Best Live Comedy Tour

Second Thursday of evey month, Reel New Mexico

Check out these web sites. Hit the calendars.

Really Greenlamper, you needed to post this "promo" on a very old post? Not that much exciting happens at LaTienda...but the Chicken Forum sounded interesting. Not to downplay the place, but really...a "promo" for a place 1/2 hour from downtown Santa Fe?

Yeah, a one hit wonder. Someone needs to flag as inappropriate? Smacks as solicitation. (I can't…am on phone, not laptop.)

Did get a nice funny from carracar out of it though.
