Hi everyone....looking forward to visiting your city for the first time in 2 weeks....we will be mainly using public transportation to get around, and thought we would go ahead and get the farepay cards to make it easier for everyone....does any one know if we can get these at the airport or at the stations?

thanks for the help

Welcome to the forum. There's a retailer lookup tool on the UTA website:

https://farepay.rideuta.com/storeLocator.html

If you use Apple Pay or comparable, that works fine too - that's what I use.

Have fun.

Since you are from out of state, using the Farepay store locater may not mean much to you. I scrolled down through the link to find stores within 5 miles of zip code 84103 (a downtown zip code). The closest one to downtown is at:

135 East 100 South Harmons Grocery Store (at the post office upstairs) Harmon's is within easy walking distance to most downtown hotels.

Other locations:

414 East 200 South 7-11

580 East 300 South Maverick

There does not appear to be a place to buy the passes at the airport. The passes are sold at the light rail stops or bus stops.

Correction, the passes are not sold at TRAX stops and bus stops. There aren’t stations at the TRAX stops.

You are able to buy single or return ride tickets at every TRAX station, including the airport.

We get our cards at Walgreens. Is there one downtown?

Yes. There's a Walgreens on Main Street between So. Temple and 100 South. It wasn't listed on the store finder though.
