Beach to the old town 15 to 20 mins depending on how far into the old town you are going.

It's not far. Heading up towards the back of the resort go to the mosque on your left and you will be at what is left of the Old Village. If you are feeling really adventurous from there head over to the new mosque over at the Wednesday market. That will give you a nice little tour with plenty of places to stop for a drink or snack.
