Definitely Meryem Yemek Evi - lovely Turkish home cooking and great value too. Hanedan is also fabulous - as is Selam. Kerem on the canal is also lovely, but a bit more expensive. There are several little places frequented by the locals around the resort which are good and cheap too.

Kerem on the canal is just like going to dinner at their house. Its small and homely and they will explain the dishes and make suggestions. My daughter said it was like going to dinner at Nana's.

Kardelin opposite Tansas if you want a cheaper but delicious meal. You will be well looked after. Good for takeaways as well. (no alcohol available).

There are plenty of 'authentic ' Turkish restaurants dotted around the resort. My personal favourite just now is Meryem Yemek Evi which is also very popular with Turks themselves. Remember though you will be in Turkey so most restaurants will have a Turkish section on the menu. The only difference is that in the restaurants aimed specifically at tourists you're liable to be sitting next to a table where someone will be having something like steak and chips.

NEFIS PIDE by far the best Turkish food and very reasonable prices. Just up past the babadan apartments towards the old town.
