There are still some good set meal deals around, Tasha - and if you really want to save money some nights, you could try going to some of the little Turkish places where the locals eat. The food is good and very cheap - the little kebab shops and pide places are also great value too. If you're planning on doing a couple of trips, try booking them at the same time and same place - if you book more than one, they will sometimes do you a better deal.

Hope this is of use to you, and I'm sure you will still manage to have a good holiday!

Check out the more traditional Turkish places when eating out and avoid alcohol with your meal. Last year we went quite a few times to Meryem Yemek Evi on the road up to the Old Village . We were able to get a very good meal for two for around £12.00. We are not on a budget but intend to search out more of these places this year as we think the food is better.

If the £500 is for one person that should not really be an issue, you will have more than enough

Typical prices for last year, lunch about £5, set meal at night, £7,drinks during day, say a couple of soft drinks, £3, a couple of drinks at night £8, so £23 per day, round up to £30 to make allowances for odds and sods, is less than £400, Trips are typically £10 or £15, so you should be OK
