We're not really ones for organised trips, as we prefer to get out and about and explore under our own steam, but we did really enjoy the Akyaka trip with Icmeler Online. You go in jeeps along the old road to Marmaris, stopping off for ayran on the way, then you stop to see the rock tombs on the side of the road before visiting the Olive Farm and finally Akyaka itself, where you get lunch and a boat trip up the river. It was a really nice day out . Icmeler Online do a lot of excursions - if you visit their website - www.icmeleronline.com - you can see what's on offer.

Last year we got the dolmus to the otogar in Marmaris and hopped on a bus to Datca, which was also a nice day out - scenery on the way is spectacular. You can catch buses to lots of different places from there too.

Last year we went to Akyaka and also did the Village Tour. If you prefer an organised trip they can be booked at almost any travel shop. Trips like this will let you see a bit of the surrounding countryside and give an idea of places you might like to revisit on your own. I would recommend both of these trips if you are just after a bit of sightseeing without all the so called 'fun' elements like water fights, etc.
