Steven, you shouldn't have much problem with mozzies at that time of year. It can get quite hot in June - so be prepared and make sure you have plenty of high factor suncream and keep drinking plenty of water. The quality of fakes can vary enormously - the best advice is to check the goods thoroughly, especially if you go to the market - and make sure they actually give you the sizes, etc you want, as sometimes you find the ones they show you initially aren't the ones you end up with.

We normally take some lira with us to begin with then change the rest of our money over there, as you do get a higher rate in the resort.

Hope that is some help to you - but check the top tips section on the right and feel free to come back and ask any further questions you may have. Have a great holiday!

Hi Steven h

As gavo says check out the topics on the right. You can then come back on for any further info. It's also better to ask one question at a time if you want definitive answers.

Thanks for the replys.

Is there more than the market that sells fakes?

obv in glasgow were used to the donner kebab...what are the kebabs like over there?

is there any bars/resteraunts that have like a playpark or the likes where we can relax with a few drinks but still have our girl in sight.

thanks

Hi Steven h

the best way to answer is to say, you name it, they fake it, if you want the better fake clothing then expect to pay a little more, its worth it.

You can buy the fake stuff almost anywhere - there are shops throughout the resort selling clothing, bags etc - and they're usually well up on what are the latest brands and so on. As I said already though, the quality can vary enormously, so check it well before you part with your cash.

As for kebabs, you can get the doner type there too - but "kebab" can cover a whole range of dishes in Turkey. Different areas of Turkey all have their own specialities and you will see lots of different kebabs on the menu - some are actually more like a casserole than a "kebab" - the Testi kebab, for instance, comes in a sealed clay pot which they break open at your table. But they're all delicious - give them a go!

There are plenty of playparks around the resort particularly in the village area, these are fairly small with a few swings etc. A few of the pubs have small play areas next to them where you could keep an eye on the kids depending on their age. many bars/restaurants also have free play station or free pool to keep the kids amused

numerous types of kebabs available, many similar to what you will be used to, eg shish kebab, large chunks of meat, with vegetables on skewers

The market on a Wednesday is huge and does every kind of clothing imaginable. All the latest fashions will be there all the top brands. Lots and lots of shops as well selling fakes many of which are excellent quality
