Water Soorts Icmeler

What water sports are available on Icmeler beach and rough costs please? Also is there any public areas of beach or are you best just hiring a bed and getting a drink from the bar. A rough idea of bed costs would be good too. Cheers:)

hi tinmen

if by water sports you mean the usual fun rides and jet ski's etc then they are all available on the beach for around 40 lira,iv'e seen scuba diving advertised but never done it so dont know how much it is.

there are a few vendors on the beach and as normal they will ask for 60 lira so barter them down, early on in the day they may be more stubborn with costs but in the afternoon they relax more, our lads went a few times each day but the vendors did come looking for them and to be fair each day they gave the lads free rides in the afternoon.

there is some public beach available but youll need a beach matt or lilo to sit on, we find it best to get a section where a sunbed is free so long as you buy at least a drink now and again, after all you are always going to buy at least a drink so why not be comfortable, they are all waiter operated so you dont have to run to the bars.

If you pay for a bed you will still be buying a drink so whats the point in paying for a bed when you can save some money!

From memory this july the beds were about 3-5 lira per bed per person so they are still cheap but 3 lira pays for two bottles of water.

There are two coco beach sections we like, weve never been pestered to constantly buy anything so have always enjoyed our days as a result, hope this helps.

Thank you so much woodwoody1,

Really great advice! We will defo be having the comfort of a bed now if all it costs is a few bottles of water and we will be going through them as we are going in July!

Cheers

hi tinmen, assuming he will still be there keep your eye out for a guy strolling the beach called Antonio, has has a t-shirt with his name in large letters on his back.... hes a decent guy and doesnt try rip you off i.e if you pay for 15mins on the jet skis you get 15mins not 10 etc etc, alot of vendors do try it on... Antonio section is located near coco-beach and its him and his family that run it. matt

I always use the beach area in front of Deniz Kapisi. Theres no charge for the sun beds but you are expected to buy a drink or two from the bar.

Service is good and I've never felt under pressure to spend a fortune there.

Just along the beach you will find Brothers watersports, I went parasailing with them a couple of years back, think it was about £25-£30.

Hired a jet ski last year, charge was £25 for 15 mins managed to negotiate 20 mins for £20.

They also have all inflatables banana boat, ringoes, sofa etc but can't remember prices.

I like the cafe del mar end of the beach just past fantasia, its is so peaceful there and the sun beds are free.

Also Cocoa beach took over the section in front of the canal this year, it did get pretty busy but the sunbeds were free as long as you bought drinks, we didnt have to leave our sunbeds all day the boys came up to serve us. Over the years i have noticed that the beach boys, kiosks ect have changed hands so dont be suprised if you see different people there each year as they have tended over the years to move onto different resorts

i cant remember the name of any of the bars but we used to walk down the canal and then turn right at the beach walk along and go on the part of the beach where you pay for sun beds. They were a couple of lira each but that was it for the whole day. No hassle to buy drinks - have done this before and hated it - felt like we were always getting asked if we wanted more drinks and ended up spending a fortune as we have children, we just wanted to be left alone so ended up leaving and paying for a bed. - we always take some bottles of drinks with us. Suppose everyone is different but we don't like been asked about drinks all the time - we have that in the bars/walking around, just want to enjoy the beach.

We hired a pedalo which was good fun but very hot out there in the sun on it with no shade so top up the sun cream before going out on one. Again we bartered the price and also reduced the time as just wanted half an hour instead of the hour offered so they are really good at accomodating what you are after.
