Club Ekinski palace

Hi all. 7 weeks to go for our 1st time to turkey. Have read loads of reviews on where we are staying. Most are good but some complain about hassle from the staff if you buy drinks, snacks etc from the onsite supermarket. Is that true? Also, they dont speak to you if you dont eat in the restaurant?

Any rooms recommended for a quiet evening on the balcony? And is there a fight for sunbeds? Thanks all

Hi we stayed a few years ago at the Ekinci Palace at the end of season in October time and have to agree, when we first arrived we had a few drinks in the bar/restaurant and the staff were very friendly and chatty to us When they realised throughout the week that we were going out for meals etc they did tend to ignore us, which to be honest did not bother us, as we were there to sample all the good restaurants which are on offer

The onsite supermarket was just a small room doubled up as the reception, which sold fresh bread and milk etc.and not much else, I certainly would not call it a supermarket.

Having said that we still had a great holiday, that being our 5th visit to Icmeler and our fist vist to the Ekinci and we know the area well, and to be honest a few people that did eat there said the food was ok., just we chose to eat else where.

We stayed at Ekinci last year and it was an excellent stay. You get what you pay for.Clean , tidy , good staff , decent prices and good food.We ate in the hotel a few times and elsewhere but no problems. I think sometimes we expect a little too much.

Would highly recommend Venice and Majestic by the canalside and the Stella show.
