If you're looking for a proper, traditional hamam experience, I would go to the one in Armutalan - but in the resort itself the Fortuna Spa at Fortuna Beach Hotel is very good.

For the real experience I would recommend the Beldibi Hamam in Armutalan. The Fortuna Spa is regularly recommended and is good but my personal view is that it is as the name suggests, a spa in a hotel, and doesn't give the same experience.

I disagree with you on that one Fortuna spa is just as good as the one in marmaris and there's no pressure for extras

Fair enough Sue. The OP was simply asking for recommendations and I just personally think the Beldibi is a better experience overall and worthy of consideration.

Most Turkish places are just a quick rub. Wash and out but at the Fortuna its one on one and they scrub you to an inch of your life.

Depends what kind of experience you want but find its a perfect start to our holiday

I agree with Ian. The Beldibi Hamam in Armutalan was the first I ever went to 15 years ago, very traditional, great experience and after trying many others, for me is still the best.

I think it depends what you want, but as I said too, if you're after the traditional hamam experience, then the one in Armutalan is definitely the one to go to. We certainly weren't "in and out" - we found it a fantastic experience.

I have been to both of them in the past but much prefer booking for a private spa without other people waiting for their turn. Fortuna is managed by two lovely ladies who are also trained physiotherapist who has helped me a lot with my back and shoulder problems over the years. It costs more than the others but well worth it.

It all depends what you are looking for but you still get the true hamman experience at Fortuna.

It is extremely popular so I normally book before I fly out to icmeler
