Manassas isn't exactly a vacation spot-it is outermost burbs of Washington, D.C.

Charlottesville is much too far-about a 2 hour drive away.

I just did a pop around VRBO, and I found this in Warrenton-http://www.vrbo.com/429800

Warrenton is about 20 miles from Manassas.

That one in Middleburg-about 45 minutes from Manassas. A VERY cute, shi-shi wealthy horse country area of Virginia; a cool little town.

The Plains is not far from Manassas-an easy drive out Route 66.

House in Lake of the Woods (Lakefront). Nice private neighborhood, although March will be cold for using the lake!

There are lots of other options-of all of them, Warrenton is probably the closest to Manassas. Here is the main Northern VA landing page for VRBO vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/…a17939

If this doesn't work, there are some hotels nearby with extended-stay options.

Manassas does have 2 B&Bs in their old town/historic district.

I know from my experience in staying at B&Bs across the country that many innkeepers are accommodating regarding long term stays and are willing to cut a nice deal (I know couple said they negotiated out the breakfast on weekdays and just did the included breakfast on weekends).

If you were to pick between those to on location alone, I would go with the Manassas Junction one (the first link) because it will be within easy walking distance of the Old-Town area if you want to walk around, go over to the Manassas Museum, go to dinner, etc.
