Castel Gandolfo with Leger Holidays – Well worth a visit

We visited Castel Gandolfo on a Leger Holidays coach tour of Italy in May and my husband and I thought it was worth every penny. We’d heard about it before left and we’re keen to get booked on the excursion and it was worth every penny. It was the summertime home favourite of pope John Paul II and he’d spend many months there, we could see why. The views looking over Lake Albano, were absolutely stunning. It really was a marvellous and Leger made it so easy to get there. We got to stay for a couple of hours, which was plenty of time to take a stroll around the lovely little streets taking some pictures and even got a spot of lunch in the garden restaurant over looking the lake, which was delightful. The area was just so peaceful, We couldn’t believe that we were only a few miles from Rome. Our coach drivers were excellent and we would also highly recommend Leger to anyone wanting to visit here and Rome. We had a great time and would love to come back and visit again.
