Landry's Seafood House

I read online that they opened up a new location in the FQ (620 Decatur St). My wife and I are staying at the French Market Inn in April, so I'm thinking of checking it out. It looks like Landry's is about a 2 minute walk (0.1 miles) from the hotel. I also saw that most of their other locations don't have the best reviews, but I figured it's worth a shot. If any of you have ate at this new location, let me know.

I have eaten there and was not impressed. The Landry's on the Riverwalk in San Antonio was FAR BETTER. That is the reason I tried the one in new Orleans. Not worth the money in my opinion.

I ate at one in Birmingham years ago. It was ok but nothing special. There are way too many "local" seafood restaurants in the Quarter & beyond in the same price range or less. I say give your $$$ to a local restaurateur!

You’ll be equi-distant to one of its chain affiliates, Bubba Gump’s. I concur with going to one of the many, great local places. For dessert only, I recommend Sucre on Conti.

It was not open as of last week. I walked by the location.

It is still under construction, with large help-wanted signs on the doors.

Looks like it’s open now https://nola.eater.com/2018/2/12/17005596/la…

Seems like it will have a pretty cool view of the river. The one in Lakeview has a pretty cool view of Ponchatrain.

It looks like the have an ok happy hour.
