Early check in

Dear all,

We got married last week and are now beyond excited for our honeymoon on Kuramathi in September!

However our flight arrives in Male at 07.30, then a seaplane transfer. Looking at the previous posts, we could arrive at the island by about 9am but according to the website can’t check in until 2pm. Does anyone know what the likelihood of checking in early is? Or if the hotel will provide us with towels for the beach or pool until we can ?

Any advice would be helpful thank you, this will be our first visit to the Maldives.

Maldivian resorts are well used to guests arriving and departing at all hours and will take good care of you.

If your villa is ready when you arrive you'll be allowed to check in and settle in, but if it isn't you may be offered a "day room" or the use of another type of room to the one booked until it is.

You have use of the resort and it's facilities from arrival, so you could use the pool, bars etc as soon as you arrive and anything you need such as towels etc will be provided.

Have a fabulous honeymoon!

We have never arrived as early as you will, but have arrived before 12pm on two of our three visits and never had any problems and been shown to our room straight away. The worst case is that you will have to wait an hour or two to get into your room, but they have facilities if you want to change and shower, and you will have full use of the bars and other facilities from when you arrive.

Hi Harria15

We were on the early flight in August last year and arrived before our room was ready. There are showers and changing facilities behind the Reception 3 which we used to freshen up and change into swimwear. It is a good idea to pack this in your hand luggage as we had to get out what we needed from our cases which were stacked up ready to deliver to the room . We then had a swim in the pool by the Laguna Bar and some lunch (and cocktails :)) I can't remember exactly what time the room was ready but it was around 1pm I think. Some people arriving at the same time were told their accommodation was ready straight away so you may be lucky.
