Frozen Four 2014

We are planning our trip to the Frozen Four in April 2014. We have decided we want to stay close to the historical sites as opposed to the ice arena. 1) can you suggest a nice hotel (prefer boutique or lovely old restored if available) close to most sites 2) can we get back and forth to the arena without a car? 3) we are thinking of taking the train- taxis easy to get at the station?

Thanks

Taxis are readily available at the train station, and you won't need (or want) a car in Center City. You can take the subway to the Wells Fargo Center.

The FAQ on where to stay lists some of the hotel options in each neighborhood, including the historic area. The FAQs are on the right side of the page on the desktop version, not the mobile version, of TA. There's also an FAQ on getting to the stadiums by subway.

The Best Western Independence Park Hotel is in a 19th C building with national landmark status. It's more like a B and B than a hotel. …bestwestern.com/bestwestern/…
