Union Theological guest rooms

Has anyone stayed at the Union Theological Seminary's guest rooms? They don't have any photos posted on their site, just info about the rooms.

I'd love an answer on this. These are also called Landmark Guest rooms. I am checking tomorrow for rates. Wondered how the neighborhood was - 3041 Broadway NYC.

Thanks.

It's a beautiful old building (if it's the one I think it is) that's just across from the Columbia University/Barnard College/Teachers College campus.

If you want to stay somewhere similar on the East Side, you might consider the House of the Redeemer

Beautiful former mansion.

House of Redeemer looks very nice. But they don't allow anyone under 16.

I have two kids, 9 and 14.

The neighborhood is fine. Very safe, lots of students. Urban college town neighborhood in the best sense. Basically on the corner of Columbia U and Barnard College (which is part of Columbia). Excellent subway service to the rest of Manhattan. I don't live there but my wife did her Masters at Columbia so I've spent some time there)

Thanks for the feedback. I just spoke with a really nice man at Union's Landmark Guest rooms reservation desk.

He offered me a room with two twin beds at $135 plus tax, making it $156.23. Only problem is that I'd need two rooms because the room only accomodates up to 3. So the total would be $312.46.

I'll be looking at hotels to save money. But this might be a great option for someone if they are just a single, couple or three people.

In the same vein, you can try Leo House (do a search for phone/fax contact-they have no website or email) and Hostelling International has a family room with private bathroom.

ChelseaGirl, back in 2007 you posted about UTS and said you'd booked a room there.
