RIP Anthony Bourdain

Just heard about it. How sad.

Even if this post doesn’t stay around for long I just wanted to say I’m shocked.

RIP.

A lot of people asking why and how.

It just goes to show you that we don’t really know them very well.

As to the "why" ... I mean, if he had depression it's a mental illness and there won't be an answer that makes sense to someone who isn't suffering through the same thing. I've had a few relatives go through this, took years to get proper medication in proper dosage. And even then, I know someone who just recently relapsed and we all went through a difficult seven months of 24 monitoring to keep them with us until the doctors got a new medicine regime figured out that worked. During that seven months there was nothing tragic or even different in their life from before or after. The "why" would've been because the meds didn't work and we need to put more resources into research, development, education, and care.
