Flatiron Building View from Above?

Is there any place I could go and see the Flatiron Building from above i.e. rooftop, observatory or anything that's nearby. And with a relatively clear view.

Thanks

The ESB will give you a good view but it’s a very high view.

I quite like looking down in that direction. You can see the Flatiron building, Madison Square Park, the junction of Broadway plus you also get a great view straight down to Lower Manhattan and the WTC buildings.

Eataly has a rooftop restaurant that should give you some views. The walls are a little high, if I remember, but if you stand along the side you should get good views.

The tops of NYC buildings are often messy affairs with AC units, elevator rooms, water tanks, stairway entrances, etc. Often buildings have a high parapets to hide these things from passersby on the street. Here is a view from above to illustrate this.

What about from 230 Fifth? I can,t recall if there are views. This is supposed to be the view from ESB but it looks low to me.

I think the view from 230 Fifth is facing the wrong way. You see the ESB which is further north.

But, if you went to the side of the 230 Fifth outdoor section and leant over you might see it. And it's not high, you won't see the top of the Flatiron.

This is a quick video clip of the top of 230 Fifth and you can see the Flatiron behind it.

This probably the best representation of the view from the ESB looking down towards the Flatiron:

I like the unobstructed direct view downtown to Lower Manhattan too.

You can also see 230 Fifth, like the previous post of mine shows.
