SF on a budget

going on fairly short notice hopefully mid April and have never been before , and looking to pay hopefully $100 or less, i know of Americas Best Value Inn on Hallam , is this in a good location and can anybody suggest specific hotel/motels/motor inns in good locations for a first timer ?? Thanks in advance

Amusingly, the America's Best Value Inn on Hallam you are asking about used to be the Globe Hostel.

Also look at Columbus Motor Inn between North Beach and Fishermans Wharf. Major bus line #30 runs right in front and cable car line very close by.

We are staying there for 5 days first week in may and paying $90 a night.

They also have the Chelsea,Coventry and Cow Hollow Motor Inns in the Marina area and they are about the same price maybe a little cheaper like $82 a night.
