Shopping near the Fairmont, esp food?

Was wondering what is around the Fairmont, in case we need to pick up some stuff for a picnic or daytrip.

There is an excellent Foodland market at The Shops at Mauna Lani, right at the traffic circle where you turn in to drive to the Fairmont.

Foodland Farms is indeed the ticket for close proximity to the Orchid...

Unless money is no object, you will be looking for ways to eat cheaper, once you see the prices on the Fairmont menu. FF is great.

There are long topics here about all the grocery stores, and you can search them by putting groceries in the search box.

Not in the Waimea subforum though, go up to the Island of Hawaii forum to do any searches. This is actually the wrong subforum for the Fairmont, not that we care, but you won't find relevant topics in it.

The Fairmont should be under the South Kohala coast umbrella, but the forum for the island is what a lot of people use.
