best family dinner restaurant

Need your help my brother & sister are visiting and they are looking at ideas for a family dinner restaurant. The kids range from 6-12. I suggested Kickers, Moosejaw or Spring Brook. They are looking for your favorite and way.

Buffalo Phil's Restaurant might also be a fun option for a family with kids in that age range. Food is decent/good, and the place is a little kitschy but fun with having the trains deliver things to the tables. Definitely intended to be a more family friend place to dine.

Paul Bunyon's Cook Shanty is also a good option, especially for a hungry family. Family style service of all you can eat food helps ensure that nobody leaves hungry if they don't want to. Usually recommend more so for groups with hungry teens, since it is a cost effective way to fill the bottomless pits that can be a teenager's stomach, but the food is good and its an effective way to get a filling meal at a decent price.

MACS Macaroni and Cheese Shop might also be a good option for a family with kids in that age range. You can get a bowl of good quality macaroni and cheese, which most kids enjoy. And, if you're feeling adventurous, they have a wide variety of different mac & cheese styles that you can order.

We liked Pizza Ranch. Affordable pizza buffet, plus a good salad bar, and a separate buffet for fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, etc. All of this was under $11 per person.

On our last visit to Buffalo Phil's we were very disappointed in the food. If you want to go there for the novelty of the train delivering food then that's a little different. Your kids may see the attached games and arcade area, so if you don't want to get involved with that, don't go there :) Kickers is buffet now, so you may or may not like that idea. Mert & Lucy's serves you at long tables so you can visit pretty easily there. Large portions, pretty big menu. Haven't been to Moosejaw in several years, but it is kid-oriented. Hot Dog Avenue has a large selection of what kids like, hot dogs and hamburgers, they also have good gyros. The food is pretty good there. Pizza Ranch you can have either pizza or broasted chicken, salad bar, dessert pizzas and soft serve ice cream. It can get really busy there on weekends so you might want to go a little earlier or a little later.

Paul Bunyan's Cook Shanty is a good choice with teens. Family style all you can eat. Gift shop for all interests. Good food.

Paul Bunyan's for breakfast...I've never had their lunch/dinner but could be a good option.

Pizza Pub has a nice salad bar and good pizza.

We love Paul Bunyan's, MAC's, & High Rock. Pizza Ranch is good, but it is a common chain and many small towns in the midwest have a Pizza Ranch.

Macs is a pretty awesome and great for your age ranges. I would also throw Ishnala Supper Club in although it might be more of an Adult setting but it’s still a Wisconsin all time classic and totally worth your consideration.

All those are fun to go to. We like rivers edge. They have a buffet on Friday nights. It’s good and not that expensive

Ishnala is way, way too expensive to be considered a family restaurant.
