Is there anyplace near Fond Du Lac where one can sit on a beach and enjoy the water?

A wee bit late I see but, yes there is. There is a very large and beautiful park called Lakeside Park with an iconic lighthouse that you can go to the top of and view the vastness of the lake. There is also Roosevelt Park tho, nobody knows it as that, locals call it Pete Mengels, long story.
