Speed trap

I just got to Blaine this afternoon, Friday. I was headed to a resort on the beach when I was pulled over and given a speeding ticket for going 38 in a 25. The speed trap was at the bottom of a hill with at least a 20% grade. I was only coasting with my foot on the brake. No warning, no sympathy, just a $150 ticket. Apparently the city of Blaine is trying to raise revenue on the backs of it's guests. Well, this is one guest who won't be back.

While I sympathize with you re: the ticket cost, I hardly think of 38 in a 20 mph zone a speed trap. And 20 mph usually means a school or small town or many turnouts, so powers that be want us to slow down for, usually, good reason.

I meant to say, also, bottom line, you were going twice the speed limit.

Oh, 25 mph; ok, not twice the speed limit.
