Euros

Hi

Thanks guys for all the great information.

The apartment, flights, and transport booked and we are almost ready to go. Just one more question is it better to get our euros in Portugal or doesn't it make any difference.

regards

Normally you will get 1 or 2 cents less in Portugal.

There are numerous alternatives to bringing great piles of cash. Please be sensible about carrying your hard earned holiday cash around with you or leaving it in your room.

Thanks guys for the great info and of course we are very aware of carrying money around, it was just to have a bit when we landed, it will be this Sunday so not sure what is open or where the ATM's are situated. We land about 11.30, just want to head for the beach.

Thanks once again for the info.

There is an ATM in the baggage reclaim area at the airport, but it is a good idea to bring perhaps €200 to get you under way just in case there is no money in it. That's often a problem here in summer as many ATM's are not topped up at weekends.

For the duration of your stay, there's an ATM on the sea front, on the corner to the left of the Dom Jose hotel.

Google Maps coordinates: 37.066291,-8.100346

It's BPI Bank and has a little staircase going up to the ATM. You can see it with 'streetview'

Thanks for the info once again.

Looking on google map I see a great number of parasols, do you know if these belong to the hotel or can anyone use them.

These are the chairs and parasols which you can rent on the beach. An alternative is to buy one in one of the many shops along the promenade.
