Car Hire & Parking Quartiera

I will be staying in the Dom Jose hotel for 7 days next month.

Does anyone know about car parking at the hotel or closeby

No problem to park at the back of the hotel.

Back of the hotel = hotel entrance. Rua da Toca is a narrow street with apartment buildings and little parking. You can stop and unload your car in front of the hotel. One street further, Ave Francisco sa Carneiro (max 2 min. walking) will be no problem. If you like, use google maps to orient yourself.

Front of the hotel is boulevard and walking zone only.

Hope this helps.

We stayed at the Dom Jose last year and no there is no parking directly infront fthe hotel but also the parking is a little haphazard at best to say the least. I would advise taking out the extra insurance with the car hire company we have done this time due to having to pay the excess of £250 last year when someone kindly thought our fiesta was theirs and broke our lock. Not only to mention that people block you in around the Dom Jose. We parked a few streets back near to the bus station and walked back and forth each time. Hope that helps, have a good trip we are off in 3 weeks and counting down....
