Mermaids & Dolphin B&B

My wifes birthday is the end of Sept. and I would like to surprise her with a 3 day weekend in Galveston. She has always wanted to go to Moody Gardens.

I am thinking of staying at the Mermaid & dolphin B&B, looks very nice, but I dont see a whole lot of reviews. Any help would be appreciated as would any suggesstions to other B&B's.

As for dining I am giving her a choice of :

Caseys

Willie G's

saltwater Grill

Mosquito Cafe

Thanks in advance

I've stayed there and referred my dad a few weeks ago. He said it was nice and the innkeepers were great. He said the breakfast was outstanding!

Another great restaurant, if you like Italian, is Luigi's on the Strand.

Rudy & Pacos is divine but pricey...well worth it though.

Also M & M Palms on Church St. is a wonderful place to eat too and they usually have a nice band in the evenings.

Thanks to all-

I have made the reservations at the M&D, she will really like that.

I will take a look at those restraunt suggestions.

I did see some good reviews for :

The Waterman at Pirates Cove-

and The Seaside Bistro-

Anybody have any comments on those two ??

Thanks

Dave,

I took my hubby for a stay at the Mermaid and the Dolphin followed by a surprise fishing trip where all his old buddies from school showed up.. He was very surprised!!! The Mermaid and the dolphin was very nice... I as a woman loved it... Hubby got a lil cranky when he stepped out on the terrace to relax in the hot tub and stepped in Cat s*it!!!

We yeah, we ate at Willie G's love the view and surroundings... good Luck!!
