Which route from Fort William to Loch Lomond?

Hi,

We will leave from Inverness, after Fort William we will go to Loch Lomond and we will stay at Stirling on same day.

For Fort William to Loch Lomond stage which route scenic and good choice; A82 OR A828, A85, A82.

This is first time in Scotland and my english is not good. Plase answer with basic sentences.

And also do you have any recommend for us?

Thanks in advance.

Both routes go through specracular scenery. The A82 is more direct and will be quicker.

Scottish weather is very changeable, and it's entirely possible that one valley might be experiencing rain whilst the next is clear, so I suggest you check the weather in the day and if needed, adjust your plan to whichever route will have clear weather.

If you go via the A828/A85, you will travel through the Pass of Brander, where you could visit the Cruachan Power Station (built within the mountain!), however, scenic as that area is, you would be missing out on Glencoe (A82), which is considered one of our most scenic areas (even in the rain and mist!).

Take A82. It is faster, easy to drive and your will get more time for viewpoints stops, especially for Glen Coe.
