Two-day visit with my dog

Hello: I would like to drive to Pittsburgh for a two-day visit in September or October. I've never been, so I wonder if it's a good idea to bring my small dog, who is well-behaved. I hope to do a lot of walking and explore different neighborhoods. Can you recommend a decent hotel that accepts dogs? I'll continue my research, but I hope you might offer some good advice based on experience. Thank you so much.

You should be able to find something on that site. I use it a lot when we travel with our dog.

I second the recommendation by pghpeople - Hotel Monaco accepts pets and there is a Pittsburgh parking authority garage right around the corner to park your car.

During the weekend of October 6 & 7 is the Pittsburgh Open Doors event. Basically a number of well known and architecturally or historically significant buildings are open to the public. It’s self guided so you can wander at your own pace. However, your pup will probably not be allowed inside. Tickets are $10. More info here:
