Walking Shoes

We don't plan on doing Mt Gower but will do most of the other walks. Should I pack my hiking shoes or will the Asics trainers be OK? We go next week ( can't wait!).

Cheers

Hello, due to baggage restrictions we would suggest you bring the shoes that are the most comfortable for you. We believe your trainers will be fine to hike the mountain with. See you soon. LHI

I did all the tracks and hills inc. Mt Gower in joggers. No problems. Soles with good grip is important though.

I have just been to Lord Howe and I wish I had taken my hiking boots. I wore my walking shoes which I thought had a good grip but the tracks were very slippery and lots of uneven ground. Hiking boots were needed.

Yes I agree. I was surprised that people were suggesting joggers were OK.
